Welcome

 Welcome

Welcome to Future Times Aotearoa - a blog to share out-of-the-box perspectives on our future.

This blog is the initiative of Yvonne Curtis, eighty something year-old mother and grandmother, who has spent the past thirty years dedicated to the discipline of futuring in Aotearoa. Read more about her here.

My name is Loo. I’m a thirty-something year-old science communicator and “creativity midwife”. My role is to help Yvonne share the treasures from her life-work, navigate the technology and articulate the wisdom and connections she has gathered over the years so that you can enjoy them. You can read about me here.

Our aim is to get outside of the frame of conventional thinking. We have the luxury of an outside perspective and the time to survey wide and deep, across the globe and throughout history to bring you perspectives, resources and connections you may not have thought of. We will draw on Yvonne’s extensive international networks, inviting friends and colleagues to share their views.

You can read about our values and intentions in this manifesto. We welcome you to share this blog with anyone of like mind who you feel will appreciate this breeze from beyond the box.
